Camera Link to CoaXPress Converter

Bridge legacy Camera Link cameras to modern CoaXPress host systems — four channels in a single machined package.

This converter presents four Camera Link inputs and four CoaXPress device (camera) outputs, so multi-camera Camera Link installations can connect to CXP frame grabbers and vision software with standards-based control, power, and cabling.

Interfaces & Power

Each Camera Link path supports the usual Base / Medium / Full modes used with industrial cameras. On the CoaXPress side, the unit operates as a CXP-3 device per channel — the camera role toward the host — and is powered using PoCXP, simplifying rack and system cabling when the frame grabber supplies power.

Control, Trigger & Serial

Beyond pixel data, the converter supports operational control paths that matter in real lines:

• Trigger transfer from CoaXPress to Camera Link, so host-side trigger schemes can drive Camera Link cameras
• Camera Link serial command traffic mapped through CoaXPress GenICam registers, enabling configuration and status in standard GenICam-aware software

A dedicated USB port provides configuration and status access for setup, diagnostics, and support.

Mechanical

The electronics are packaged in a machined aluminum housing with SDR Camera Link connectors and Micro-BNC CoaXPress connectors for a compact, serviceable multi-channel converter.
